Halver, 07.07.2009 - The German company ESCHA TSL has invested a lot of research- and development work in relevant products to make travelling by bus and train more convenient for the handicapped. Numerous local and international public transport associations as well as bus- and train manufacturers have trusted in buttons, switches, and lights made by ESCHA TSL for many years.
The company offers a wide product.range enabling the handicapped to move around easily in public transport.
Door-opening buttons with a large activation surface are (25cm²), slight switching force and tactile switching feeling are available for the bording area. Furthermore, these buttons feature orientating-, warning-, and relief sounds for the visually handicapped. The boarding area can be safer through ramp illumination as well as warning-, and signal lights from ESCHA TSL. Hand-pole buttons with Braille offer additional orientation in passenger area.
The wet area on every vehicle is another application of products suitable for the handicapped. In addition to large surface-area request buttons, ESCHA TSL also offers special display lights. These products make things not only easier for the handicapped to find their way but als increase safety on buses and trains.
Not least, based on the close cooperation with the handicapped organizations in Switzerland and Austria, many products fulfil the TSI/PRM standard requirements. A conformity declaration through the German Eisenbahn-Cert (EBC) is being worked out together with TÜV Nord. |
